Charlie Hockensmith
Group President
Charlie Hockensmith joined Van Metre Homes in 1996. He is responsible for all sales, building and land development activities for all New Homes, Custom Homes and Multi Family projects. He has 45 years' experience in the Washington DC market. Before coming to Van Metre Homes he was President of the Potomac Division of Pulte Homes which included Montgomery County and the surrounding counties in Maryland. Charlie also held many other positions at Pulte including VP of Construction and Executive VP of the entire Maryland Division including Baltimore during his time at Pulte. Charlie is a member of various homebuilder associations in Virginia and Maryland.

Brian Davidson
Executive Vice President
After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree from George Mason University in 1989, Brian Davidson started working with Van Metre Homes as an entry level accountant and prides himself in the extensive experience he has gained spending his entire career with The Van Metre Companies. Brian has over 22 years' experience in the Washington DC housing market. Brian is a member of various homebuilder associations in Virginia.

ACQUISITION PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Roy Barnett
Group President
Roy Barnett provides 35 years of experience in all aspects of real estate acquisition, development, and construction. In the 20 years Roy Barnett has been with Van Metre, he has been involved with the master planning of the mixed use planned communities of Broadlands, Stone Ridge and Lansdowne. Roy is a licensed general contractor in Virginia and holds professional surveyor and/or engineering design licenses in four states. Roy was previously an adjunct instructor in surveying and suburban development at Northern Virginia Community College and has presented various seminars in storm water hydrology/hydraulics related to land planning and design.

Walt Sheehan
Executive Vice President
Walt Sheehan joined the Van Metre Companies in 2005, and oversees the Van Metre apartment portfolio which is located in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Orlando, FL. Walt brings over 35 years of experience to the Van Metre Companies. Prior to joining the Van Metre Companies, Walt was a Group Vice President for the Charles E. Smith Companies. In this capacity, he oversaw the Smith apartment portfolio in Washington, DC, Arlington, VA, Miami, FL, and New York City. Walt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double major in Management and Marketing from Georgetown University. He is a Property Management Association member, National Multifamily Housing Committee Member, as well as a member of the Institute of Property Management holding a CPM designation.
