VAN METRE NAMES GROUP PRESIDENTS

BURKE, VIRGINIA - Van Metre Companies, Metropolitan Washington's strongest privately-held creator of communities, is pleased to announce that it has promoted Roy Barnett to Group President of Planning and Development and Charles Hockensmith to Group President of Construction.

Barnett (Centreville, Va.) has been with Van Metre for over 8 years and has over three decades of industry experience.  In his position, he will oversee all aspects of Van Metre's planning for all new properties as well as the company's development of planned communities and investment properties.

Hockensmith (Charlestown, W.Va.) has been with the company for over nine years and has also been in the industry for over 30 years.  He will be responsible for all construction of new Van Metre homes, condos, multi-family rentals as well as land development.
